The updates include a new range of diesel models with Mercedes\u2019 48-volt mild hybrid system, new plug-in hybrids, and improved MBUX infotainment system.Design-wise, the grille has been given a touch of chrome, the front bumper has been reshaped, and the standard LED headlamps now have a new running light signature. The rear lights have also been given a new look, and the AMG Line exterior has been made standard on the GLE Coupe models.Inside, the latest steering wheel design with touch controls makes an appearance, along with new chrome air vents and trim colour combinations. The MBUX infotainment system now boasts more control options within the twin 12.3-inch screens, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard. The new “Off-Road Mode” in the MBUX system displays important information like the gradient, roll angle, and steering angle to help drivers, and when combined with the Parking Package, a 360-degree camera offers a “transparent bonnet” view.In terms of off-road capability and towing, the GLE has received a boost with the Off-Road Engineering Package and air suspension on combustion-engined models, and the addition of a 3.5-tonne braked trailer towing capacity on models with air suspension and E-Active Body Control system. The Trailer Manoeuvring Assist software and trailer route planner in the sat-nav also help drivers navigate with tall or long vehicles.All GLE and GLE Coupe engine options are now electrified, with 4MATIC all-wheel-drive as standard. Buyers can choose from the 375bhp GLE 450 petrol or the new 300d and 450d diesel mild hybrids with 265bhp and 361bhp respectively, and the plug-in hybrids boast extended electric-only ranges and power boosts.Finally, the Mercedes-AMG GLE performance range includes the 429bhp GLE 53 with a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six and the 603bhp GLE 63 S with a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8.
