Despite being a continuation of the existing DB11, which was first introduced seven years ago, the updated car will be a thoroughly modern proposition both inside and out.The new version of the DB11 will feature upgraded engines, gearboxes, suspension, and an overhauled interior. The company’s chairman, Lawrence Stroll, previously stated that the new car will be more like an “all-new” vehicle. He also confirmed that the new car will come with a touchscreen infotainment system that will be differentiated from Mercedes’ technology with “our own faces, our own voices \u2013 a proper English accent.”The choice between V8 and V12 models is likely to remain, with both subject to substantial revamps. The V12 was recently upgraded to 759bhp for the swansong DBS 770 Ultimate, thanks to a 7% increase in turbo pressure and ignition tweaks. The V8 is likely to be an upgraded version of the M177 unit found in the new Mercedes-AMG SL 63, which has the potential for outputs of 577bhp and 590 lb-ft.The smaller Aston Martin Vantage will also receive a similar suite of upgrades, whereas the closely related DBS will go off sale once the 770 Ultimate\u2019s 499-car run is complete. It’s all part of a move to increase sales of its front-engined sports cars to 4000 units per year, Stroll explained. The updated DB11 is expected to arrive first and is expected to make its official debut later this year. Hinting at how different the new cars will be, Stroll said “You’ll be very impressed with the all-new ‘front engines’ next year.” And added that there will be “some carry-over” at the rear end.Images: https:\/\/www.motor1.com\/news\/521463\/aston-martin-updates-2022-models\/"},{"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"By Manufacturer","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/by-manufacturer\/#breadcrumbitem"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"Aston Martin","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/by-manufacturer\/\/aston-martin\/#breadcrumbitem"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":3,"name":"Aston Martin DB11 To Be Reinvented","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/by-manufacturer\/aston-martin\/aston-martin-db11-to-be-reinvented\/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
