Once again, the historic city of Coventry becomes host to some of the loudest, most powerful, most spectacular cars you’ll ever see, all thanks to MotoFest. Supercars, classic cars, motorbikes, drift cars, modified cars and even some souped-up lorries were all part of the spectacle that was this year’s MotoFest Coventry and we’ve got some brilliant snaps of the show to share with you.
A whopping 150,000 attendees were estimated to have been at this year’s MotoFest and organisers say that the event is getting bigger each year. Created to celebrate Coventry’s motoring heritage as well as celebrating the motoring industry as a whole, MotoFest has only been happening for a few years now but is growing extremely fast. The main road is closed for cars to do parade laps and sprints on, there are various displays of classic cars, supercars, JDM cars, motorbikes and more and there was also a small area for drifting and motorcycle stunts for visitors to enjoy.
Here you can see professionals pop wheelies on bikes, drift around tight corners in some seriously modified rides and just burn rubber, in general, all for the crowd’s entertainment.
If you love your supercars than MotoFest was the place to be. We’re certain that the pops, bangs, gurgles and roars could be heard by residents of the neighbouring towns miles away. A Lamborghini Aventador, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Mercedes AMG GT R, Porsche GT3 RS and many more amazing cars were seen (and heard) doing laps on the closed road.
There’s always plenty of motorbikes at MotoFest as well and this year was no exception. From a massive American trike to modern sport and superbikes, there was something for everyone.
Our friends over at Peter Best Insurance Services would have enjoyed the large variety of classics shown at the show as well. Our favourites included a stunning Aston Martin DB5, as well as a slammed BMW (probably better enjoyed by our colleagues over at Performance Direct), some war-time Citroens and a fantastic Jaguar E-Type.
