As we have mentioned many times in the last couple of weeks, the Detroit Motor Show showcased some of the best the motoring industry has to offer. However one of the highlights of the event was the life size Batmobile, made from lego that was on show at the Chevrolet site.
It took a team of students from Detroit’s Cody rouge Community and staff from Chevrolet more than 200 hours to design and 1,833 hours to build. The whole thing is made using almost 350,000 lego pieces, weighs almost 770kg and stands at 17ft long and almost 10ft wide.
The Best Batmobile yet?
This lego monster was built to promote the upcoming Lego Batman Movie and is an identical replica of Will Arnett’s Batmobile from the film. We think this version just edges Christian Bale’s as the best Batmobile yet.
Unfortunately the Batmobile isn’t available for purchase as Chevrolet will probably be using it in the future for promotional purposes. But it may end up at an auction eventually, fingers crossed.
