Subaru has come a long way since the 360 ‘microcar’, going on to develop bigger and better cars year after year.

When you think of the classic Subaru Impreza, the first name that comes to mind is most likely Colin Mcrae and for good reason!

He was their multi British Rally Championship winning driver and that blue and yellow color scheme, which is just as beautiful 23 years on, really has become an icon for the brand.

Of course, we’re not just here to talk about rally cars as Subaru also have an impressive range of SUVs, trucks, sedans, hatchbacks, coupes and wagons.

Here are some of our favourite cars from Subaru’s history – and future!

First up is the Subaru Outback, which offers fantastic off-roading capabilities and great traction, making it an instant hit from the moment it launched in 1996.

In 1997 the Subaru Forester was introduced and brought a lot of additional features and equipment with it, such as power steering. It was equally fun and comfortable to drive around town as it is off the beaten track, making it a great option for 4WD lovers.

Based off the new-generation Impreza, the 2011 Subaru XV has an all new grill and bumper style on a totally redesigned chassis. This provides a super smooth drive on any road and it beautifully balances practicality and stylish design.

An almost identical twin of the Toyota GT86, Subaru’s BRZ 2012 is excellent fun to drive even at low speeds and offers precise handling at an affordable price.

The Subaru WRX STI 2016 is an awesome race-ready cross country car that delivers power, as well as improved control compared to its rivals, with a real rally car heart.

On the horizon there are a few exciting Subaru models coming our way, including the 2017 Impreza that should be available later this year, along with the 2017 BRZ sports car.
