Music videos are some of the most highly viewed pieces of content on YouTube, often racking up millions of plays. If you take a look at some of your favourite music videos, you are bound to find a least a couple of nice looking cars in the mix. With that in mind, let us take a look at five of the best cars to feature in music videos.
1997 Chevrolet C-2500: Telephone – Lady Gaga
How could we not mention the ‘Pussy Wagon’? If you are a fan of the amazingly talented Quentin Tarantino, then you will most likely recognise this car from Kill Bill Vol. 1. When you think about it, this is pretty awesome cameo and does work well with the video, even if you aren’t a Lady Gaga or Beyoncé fan!
Chevrolet Impala: Still D.R.E – Dr. Dre
The bouncing Chevrolet Impalas in this video have become somewhat iconic over the years. You can’t deny that Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre look cool whilst bouncing through the streets in their pimped out low-riders full of bikini-clad ladies.
Cadillac Eldorado: My Favourite Game – The Cardigans
Boulder down on the accelerator, the video shows Nina Persson (lead singer of the Cardigans) on a mission of self-destruction through the desert in a beaten up old Cadillac Eldorado! If you ignore the fact Nina’s ‘tattoo’ is rubbing off on the seats, the video is pretty well done for the time and it is a fantastic song!
Saleen S7: Candy Shop – 50 Cent
The Saleen S7 that appears in the 50 Cent music video for ‘Candy Shop’ can reach a whopping 248mph and is packed with 750bhp! When you think of the world’s fastest cars, you probably think of Bugatti but Saleen are definitely up there with this beast!
We think it’s quite a shame that the then newly released car wasn’t featured more.
Glowing Peugeot Estate: M.I.A. – Bad Girls
Filmed on the dusty roads of Morocco, this video is packed with drifting and two-wheeled stunts! Who doesn’t love seeing a gold BMW being thrown around dramatically with sand flying up? Not only are there plenty of BMWs, an Alfa Romeo is also there but the star of the show has to be the glowing, transparent Peugeot estate!
