Rumours surrounding the possible ‘Apple Car’ have been flying around for a year now and with Apple taking such a strong interest in McLaren, it seemed only right that we sat down and made some predictions based on some of the facts.
Apple have been extremely tight-lipped surrounding the subject of them creating an automobile. There have been many subtle hints as to their plans through the registration of website domains, patent of how a car could be controlled by an Apple device and their attempt at investing in McLaren. Not to mention the hundreds of new employees that all have car manufacturing backgrounds.
With all of the speculation and recent news articles, many people have created their own concepts as to what the Apple Car or Project Titan will look like. All of the concept designs tend to follow a similar design; glossy white, large open windows and of course the glowing Apple logo.
So what do we predict? Well, products made by the iconic brand seem to all feature their personal assistant ‘Siri’, so there is no doubt that will be included. Apple always like to prioritize user experience which means that their OS will most likely feature heavily and could be somewhat reminiscent of the Tesla interior.
On the exterior of the car, we would expect there to be large seamless glass windows, similar to their store fronts. In terms of colour choices it would seem only right that they go for the gold, rose gold, silver and space grey that are featured on their MacBook and iPhone. Could the new glossy black for the iPhone 7 be a hint as to an upcoming colour option? Only time will tell.
It’s pretty obvious that if Apple did release a car that it would be expensive, gorgeous and have an extremely long preorder list! Would you purchase a vehicle from the technology giant? Let us know!
