Bored with Top Gear? This show could be what you’re looking for.
If you’re struggling for motoring shows to watch recently then this may be of some good news! A new motoring show is here, available to watch on ITV4 on Thursday evenings at 8 pm.
The show started on November 12th and will run six one-hour episodes in total, each starring the ever-likeable Tiff Needell and the founder of Lovecars, Paul Woodman. A breath of fresh air if you feel like Top Gear has been lacking something ever since the three musketeers left, said ironically as Tiff used to host Top Gear back in the day!
So, what’s it called? ‘Lovecars: On the Road’ is the title and it sounds like everything you would want from a quality motoring show. Featuring over 50 vehicles in just six episodes, the cars range ‘from hatchbacks to hypercars’ and also a crazy off-roader and a 15hp mini pickup truck, which should be mentioned.
On the one hand, the duo will be showing off the kind of cars you would expect to see. You know, the Lamborghini’s, Ferraris, Porsche, BMWs, Jaguars and so on. Then, on the other hand, we’ll also be treated to some more interesting vehicles that aren’t so well-publicised such as the BAC Mono, Alpine A110, Pagani Zonda Cinque and an off-roading Rage Buggy, to name a few.
The guest line-up is also enough to get us interested, with figures such as the old Top Gear Stig and former James Bond stunt driver Ben Collins, an Italian racer and W Series star Vicky Piria, winner of the 2019 W Series championship Jamie Chadwick and a few others.
Now, they say the budget for this show is rather small and is all mainly produced in-house by a small team giving it a more personable feel. Though despite its small budget, from what we have seen so far we can confirm the production quality and show’s ideas certainly do not show any sign of restrictedness.
We would definitely recommend you give it a go and if you don’t already know Tiff Needell we guarantee you’ll be a fan of his after watching this show.
